- <sigh> OK, let's see now: I cannot say "we are pregnant", and now I
- cannot say "safe sex". What else can't I say?
-
- With all of the communication, and miscommunication that goes on here,
- the number of people who cannot spell and punctuate, and the vast volume
- of just plain misinformation that is posted, why in the world are we
- picking nits with language that is at least serving it's purpose?
-
- Is this really necessary? If you want to be excruciatingly correct,
- knock yourself out. I think it's completely inappropriate, though,
- for you to correct my usage, especially when my usage is correct
- according to the rules of common usage, albeit as a slang term.
-
- BTW, you might want to note that slang is not always technically
- correct.
-
- Oh, and before someone demands my credentials for making such a
- statement, it might be worth noting that I was a senior writer for
- 10 years.
