- I'm taking a marketing class where we have a group assignment to come up with
- a new product idea that would be used with/for infants/toddlers. Recently I
- posted a request for ideas and thanks for all that responded.
-
- My group has come up with an idea that I would like to get feedback on. It is
- a safety gate, the kind that we're all familiar with that you use in doorways
- or by staircases. The enhancement that we've come up with is to make it such
- that it is easily collapsible so it can be easily stored in your home/apt.
- when not in use or will fit easily into your car for use when visiting. The
- ones that I've seen on the market are not convenient to store when not in use.
- They are rather bulky and may not easily fit, nor would you want to hassle
- trying to put them into your car.
-
- Any impressions or feedback? Would you buy one if you were shopping for a
- gate if it had this feature? Assume that it meets all safety requirements for
- such a product and was competitively priced. Would you be willing to pay a
- bit more for the easy transportability and storage? Have you experienced
- taking one with you in a car or airplane? What was it like? Our product
- would collapse into a size about 26" high, 4" in diameter and would fit into a
- case with a handle.
-
- Thanks in advance for any responses.
