- I'll take your money. I'm a triathlete, and I know a few (non-elite)
- triathletes who do 3 or 4 aerobic workouts A DAY (swim in the morning, run
- at lunch, bike/run in the evening). I'm more than willing to bet that
- there isn't a single (top) pro bodybuilder that can demonstrate aerobic
- capability comparable to a "local" top triathlete, not to mention a
- national caliber triathlete. The ability to do (say, in the pool) 10
- intervals at 90% of maximum heart rate for 2 minutes, with about 20
- seconds rest each time, is probably beyond the capacity of bodybuilders.
- I can do an hour swim (non-stop), where my heart rate stays around 80% of
- my (observed) maximum.
-
- I have a lot of respect for bodybuilders; I know what kind of dedication
- it must take to achieve the results they strive for. I know that they
- train for something very different than aerobic capacity. Please don't
- try to put them in a category where they really don't stack up.
