- On the day before yesterday, I was in the gym doing some light
- arm exercises using light dumbells. I have been using 3 pound
- weights in a routine which I can't really describe because I
- don't know what any of the exercises are called. I don't think
- it matters though.
-
- Anyway, I didn't do any more than I normally do, but this time, I
- went swimming afterwards. The next day, my upper arms were
- really stiff, especially toward the back of my arm. One muscle
- in particular really hurts. If you look at the arm from the side,
- it is about 2/3 of the way toward the back, and the shoulder and
- goes down.
-
- I tried to move my arms in the directions of the exercises I did
- so I could pinpoint the one that might have done it and I think
- this is the one. I sit on a bench, bend over my knees, reach my
- arms out in front - toward the floor, and then pull them - bending
- the elbow- until the upper arm is parallel to my torso.
-
- My question is this. Is this normal soreness from over exertion? Also,
- should I just keep exercising even though it hurts, or should I wait
- until the soreness subsides?
-
- Thanks
