- I am cleaning up the basement and am ready to do something with the
- concrete floor in the utility portion. There is already hints of
- erosion in the high traffic area. I am wondering if I should patch
- these areas, or will floor paint hold up for awhile? I read the
- instructions on a gallon of floor paint, and it talked about etching
- the surface with a 10% muriatic acid solution. When and why would
- etching be necessary?
-
- I think I saw something about a FAQ list regarding wet basements.
- Where is that list? I am specifically interested in the 'weep holes
- and epoxied baseboard method' at this time.
-
- Thanks.
