Hello, John: You're right - long time no see! Things are going well. Yes there are woods here. I am living at the edge of the northern forest area of Saskatchewan. Anyway, I have been keeping busy. My foster daughter is getting married in February, so I have been busy organizing etc. (Mostly buying, buying, buying....) I also have 4 and possibly 5 ADHD students in my class this year, so that keeps me on my toes. I cancelled having an intern for this year because I felt it wouldn't be fair to put a new teac
her in this group. To be truthful I am, for the most part, enjoying my students. They have a good 'group' humour, and usually work well.
I have been waiting most of the fall for the computer consultant to hook up the modem in my classroom. I talked with him last week and he said maybe this week or next. At least I have a time when it could get done. He caught the flu prior to Christmas so that put him behind. When I get the modem hooked up I'll leave a message or two on here to let people know.
Anyway, did your part of the world get some of the Christmas deepfreeze the rest of us out west received? It is only -30C right now. Last week we hovered around the -10 to 0C for a couple of days - it was very unusual to have those warm temperatures in January- but noone was complaining. Well actually, I shouldn't say NOONE was complaining
- I was! My fridge died of old age and I put everything into my back
porch - sort of a walkin fridge...very posh -:) - needless to say when it started warming up I was mildly concerned. My new fridge should be in this Wednesday - so bring on spring!!!!
