- Dear fellow gnu-supporters,
-
- I have recently been attempting to use the gnu version of
- emacs but have encountered a major difficulty: My erase
- character has been interpreted as "delete" rather than
- "backspace." Please note that my terminal emulation is
- vt102 on my IBM-compatible xt computer. I have thus
- far been unable to successfuly employ/find the
- appopriate settings using the seterm and term commands.
- I hope I will not be forced to program my communications
- software to interpret the backspace key as a delete
- key because I am using "backspace" as my delete
- character on all of my accounts.
-
- Thank you for taking the time to listen to my problem.
- Please accept my sincere appoligies if I have inadertantly
- posted it to the wrong forum.
-
- Please send repy's to "cb147@cleveland.freenet.edu" to
- save bandwidth, unless you think the answer would be
- useful to other readers of this newsgroup.
- Thanks again.
-
- Sincerely,
-
- David
