- Summary: Need Help to install Xwindows for Speedstar 24
- Keywords: X Speedstar windows
- X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.1 PL8]
-
- Ok, don't flame me. I know this must have been discussed to death
- somewhere. But I bought my Speedstar 24 yesterday, and until then
- I have not been interested in the Diamond-thread.
-
- The question is: is there a program which sets the clock-chip
- to the appropriate values. I know that I can do this in DOS-Mode,
- but then, I should be able do that in linux, too (before
- starting X). If there is a program for solving this problem,
- please mail it to me.
-
- If there is not, does anyone has information about setting
- the clock-chip? After all, I won`t get information from Diamond
- if I've read some articles correctly, but it must be all in
- the vga-bios. I could perhaps debug the code to find all the
- answers, but this would be rather stupid if someone has allready
- done that.
-
- Happy Linuxing, Bernd
