- I have SCO UNIX 3.2.2 with TCP/IP 1.1.1b running SLIP over a 38.4kbps
- ISDN circuit switch. When running telnets for NNTP or SMTP, or running
- FTP I get TCP checksum errors. Slower interactive telnets and finger and
- such have no problem. My guess is that the serial line is dropping
- characters at 38.4 ... but I have a 16550AFN on that line, and I was
- under the impression that that should solve it.

- Question is, then, does there need to be software support for the 16550's
- enhancements? Does just plugging in the chip into the serial card not
- help?
