  10. I have SCO UNIX 3.2.2 with TCP/IP 1.1.1b running SLIP over a 38.4kbps
  11. ISDN circuit switch. When running telnets for NNTP or SMTP, or running
  12. FTP I get TCP checksum errors. Slower interactive telnets and finger and
  13. such have no problem. My guess is that the serial line is dropping
  14. characters at 38.4 ... but I have a 16550AFN on that line, and I was
  15. under the impression that that should solve it.

  17. Question is, then, does there need to be software support for the 16550's
  18. enhancements? Does just plugging in the chip into the serial card not
  19. help?
