- To all you hypersensitive types:
-
- 1) I drink 1 cup of coffee at breakfast every mornining. I post in the
- afternoon. My fingers don't even shake. Honest.
-
- 2) merce@xenitec.on.ca (Jim Mercer) says: you seem to be the kind of
- person that would get a 976 number for home. I says: You seem to be
- the kind of person who calls anyone who disagrees with you a crook.
-
- 3) shane@cs.sunysb.edu (Shane Bouslough) says: Do you actually think
- the price you paid comes anywhere close to fair market value for what
- you got? I says: Huh? To recap the play:
-
- a) thunder.mcrcim.mcgill.edu, by saying ``Do tell us, Robert, how much
- did *you* (as a non-.edu domain person) contribute to MIT since
- you're using X? How much money did you send the FSF when you
- installed gcc? How about when you installed emacs?'' accused
- me of being a hypocrite.
-
- b) I responded (with I though a rather well sharpend sarcasm) `` I've
- actually *bought* releases from FSF [... and] MIT [... and contributed
- to 386BSD. This intended to rebut the above acusation?
-
- What does your ``fair market value'' have to do with this? I've contributed
- *more* then the people who FTP the stuff; the same people I assume you are
- trying to defend.
-
- 4) shane@cs.sunysb.edu (Shane Bouslough) then gets off another round with
- flaming Mr DeArmond with ``I bet you live for alt.flame'', right after
- flaming me. Seems a tad inconsistent.
-
- 5) Finally, to those who feel they have a mission in life by teaching me
- to be politically correct, please: Take my advice, give up.
