- How is it possible to simulate a black-and-white X server on a color
- screen? Some options are described for the xnews server, but they
- don't work. E.g.: xnews -dev /dev/cgsix0 grayvis staticvis defdepth 8
- gives me a nice grayscale server, without any color, but what I would
- like to do is: xnews -dev /dev/cgsix0 grayvis staticvis defdepth 1
- and that, as much as any other attempt, for example by setting the
- device to something else, just fails.
- Any hints or ideas are greatly appreciated.
