- I have a hi-res b+w monitor (Sun part # 540-1427-01) on a 4/110, which
- makes a really nice system (given all that screen real estate).
-
- However, I've noticed recently that the picture has shrunk
- horizontally: there's roughly an extra inch of black on each side. All
- the pixels are still there, and the vertical size is still right, but
- it's compressed horizontally. When started cold, in fact, it's
- compressed to only a couple of inches in width, and it takes it about
- half an hour to grow to something more reasonable.
-
- Question: is this likely to be a defective component, or something I
- could adjust? The monitor was replaced by Sun under maintenance about
- a year ago, so it's not very old, but the maintenance agreement isn't
- in force anymore, so I can't just call them up and get another one.
-
- Email suggestions greatly appreciated: I don't really have time to
- follow this newsgroup.
-
- Thanks in advance,
