  11. Hello there,
  12. we currently have a 4D-220 VGX with a spaceball attached. After changing to
  13. 4.0.5, we noticed some differences regarding the spaceball:

  15.   - we can't emulate the mouse using the spaceball; this was possible in 3.x   
  16.  
  17.   - the spaceball data format and programming interface seems to have
  18.     changed, since a locally written application that used to work fine
  19.     with the spaceball notww has problems such as long latency between moving
  20.     the spaceball and seeing the result on screen and loosing events.

  22.   - Occasionally we get SYSLOG errors of the form
  23.     Jan 13 11:25:41 gt unix: WARNING: data event with unknown format.
  24.     Jan 13 11:25:41 gt unix: WARNING: Bad length for data event (14 words)

  26. Does anybody use a spaceball with 4.0.5 or knows what exactly has changed
  27. or where to get information ?
