  16. We have been forwarding all legitimate complaints and bug reports about
  17. xpsview to Adobe Systems.  I am not able to reproduce what you describe.
  18. I am using the Version 1.2.1 of xpsview on a PI that runs IRIX 4.0.5A. 
  19. Which versions of xpsview and IRIX do you have?  xpsview displays its
  20. version number in the title of its main window.

  22. You may have specified some resources for the X Window System that cause
  23. xpsview to behave that way, or you have a complex PS file that requires 
  24. a lot of memory.  Could you please logout, login as guest, and try to
  25. reproduce the problem with xpsview.  In other words, try to use an account
  26. that has not been customized (that uses default resource values).

  28. xpsview may have problems redrawing an image when it displays a message that
  29. it does not have enough memory to process a PS file.  In that case, you 
  30. should use the option -maxp on an xpsview command line to increase the 
  31. maximum number of bytes that can be allocated for a pixmap.  That option is
  32. described in the man page for xpsview.

  34. Are you having problems with all PS files you display, or only with a
  35. particular PS file?  If you are having problems with a particular PS file
  36. and that file does not contain any confidential or proprietary information,
  37. please send it to me by e-mail.  If I can reproduce the problem you reported,
  38. I'll forward your PS file to Adobe.
