  14. Unfortunately, pc users rule the roost in our department. We are therefore 
  15. going to buy a slide maker that is to be driven by a pc.  We have been
  16. investigating the poloroid ci 5000 with mixed results.  Part
  17. of the problem may be image file formats. I have been converting the files
  18. first to gif files, and then capturing them.  The software we have doesn't seem
  19. to offer any other image formats except for the standard eps, hpgl etc.
  20.  
  21. 1) Can anyone recommend a procedure or system (hardware + software) 
  22. that can be used to make slides on a pc from sgi images?
  23.  
  24. 2) If we had to do it right, that is with a  machine hooked directly to 
  25. the sgi, what is available in the lower price range?
