  14. We've just installed a new Indigo r4k named "marge" and found out that sysmeter
  15. doesn't run with the following message:

  17. "sysmeter: can't get stats: Remote system error"
  18.  
  19. Each time sysmeter is called the following line is added to ~adm/SYSLOG:
  20.  
  21. "marge rstatd[<somePid>]: read: iotim: No such device or address"
  22.  
  23. and the command rpcinfo -u marge rstatd gives:
  24.  
  25. rpcinfo: Remote system error
  26. program 100001 version 1 is not available
  27. rpcinfo: Remote system error
  28. program 100001 version 2 is not available
  29. rpcinfo: Remote system error
  30. program 100001 version 3 is not available
  31.  
  32. I must confess to be completely baffled by this warnings. After all RPC's are
  33. not my speciality ( I'll learn them in the next semester :-)

  35. If someone has a tip-of-the-tongue answer for this I would appreciate if
  36. he/she could resolve this mistery.
