  13.    We recently installed MIT's X11R5 on an SGI Crimson running IRIX 4.0.4.
  14. We wanted to run chooser from the Crimson on several NCD X-terminals.
  15. For some strange reason, the chooser program does not get built on System V
  16. machines, including IRIX. We settled for running chooser from a Sparc machine
  17. and getting the Crimson to list as one of the XDM hosts.
  18. Has anyone successfully built a running X11R5 chooser under IRIX ?

  20. This is probably for someone at SGI (but not only ...):
  21. before installin we moved all relevant R4 directories aside
  22. (like /usr/bin/X11, /usr/lib/*X*, /usr/include/X11), thus losing the
  23. ability to run CodeVision, 4Dwm, gl_osview and the like (missing shared
  24. library).
  25. Any ideas on how these programs might coexist with the X11R5 installation ?
