- I tried to respond directly but it returned saying the user id
- was invalid.
-
- I had this problem a couple of months ago and received the following
- reply from Jon Hall in Pommie Land (j.m.hall@soton.ac.uk)

- There are two things you can do, and you can implement them either
- of two ways. The first is to turn off the virtual memory, the second
- is to force the swap file to a writable disk.
-
- 1. Change to the MATLAB\BIN directory
- enter the command CFIG386 MAT386.EXE -novn
- or CFIG386 MAT386.EXE -swapdir c:\path
- where c:\path is a writable disk drive\directory. NB - this
- should not end in a backslash.
- (You may want to make a backup of MAT386.EXE)
-
- 2. Another way is to set a DOSX variable.
- SET DOSX=-novm
- or SET DOSX=c:\path
-
-
- I have only tried the first method of changing the executable. It
- works fine.
