  10.     I'm on a committee whose purpose (among others) is to establish
  11. some standards with regard to testing hardware (prior to purchase,
  12. mainly workstations, and miscellaneous boards)).  We've had some bad
  13. experiences with incompatiblities (hardware/hardware and
  14. hardware/software bothin the past. We're rapidly expanding the
  15. number of Lans at our site and need some way of evaluting new
  16. boards/NLMs/workstations etc.

  18. 1.  Has anyone out there down this?  If so, any tips? 
  19.  
  20. 2.  Does anyone know where we can lay our hands on a good suite of
  21. cheap (if not free) benchmark/torture tests 
  22.  
  23. 3.  Does anyone have any feelings about whether we'll be saving
  24. ourselves any effort by thouroughly testing prior to installation?
  25.
