  22. Installing operating systems is NOT EASY. It took me an entire day to
  23. get solaris 1.1 loaded. It took another day to figure out how to get
  24. openwindows loaded. Of course I didn't have any manuals...

  29. Everything is simple once you know how to do it. I agree that it
  30. can appear complicated the first few times it is done. However, the
  31. MGC install program allows you to install a HUGE number of individual
  32. products. Each of which is an application in its own right. The
  33. number of potential combinations of product installation, configuration
  34. location on the network, ... etc, make  the process complex. Unlike
  35. other single application installation programs the version 8.0
  36. install works over the network, can install to multiple machines,
  37. and allows the administrator to save the install configuration for
  38. later installs. When you have done it once you will find it easy
  39. to do the next time.

  41. Is the Mentor version 8 install perfect? No, but it does its job well
  42. considering the complexity of what it must do.
