  13. Hello,
  14.    After upgrading our fx to 7.0.1 we started experiencing problems,
  15. everytime an application goes to the "Open a file" dialog box the program
  16. bombs and we get an error message "Application quit because of a Type 1
  17. error" (or words to that general effect.) We tried using Res-Edit to change
  18. the heap size in the finder but had no success with that, we have stripped
  19. out all of the inits, have installed System 7 tune-up all with no effect.
  20. The weird thing was when I came in this morning and booted the mac
  21. everything worked fine even though nothing had changed from the night
  22. before. I put the inits back in and the problem came back. That would lead
  23. me to think its obviously a problem with the Inits but when I took them
  24. back out again and rebooted I still got the error message.

  30. We are connected via Ethernet to a Novell Network and have Mac TCP (1.1)
  31. and Admin TCP (1.1)

  33. We have a couple of programs that won't work at all now: Mac Gopher, Turbo
  34. Gopher, Telnet 2.5
