- In my case, our IIcx refuses to boot from its INTERNAL Quantum ProDrive 80MB
- hard drive on the first try. Hitting the "programmer's reboot" key fails
- to see the internal drive (question-mark icon, no matter how many times).
- However, once the machine is turned OFF and back on it boots fine (2nd try).
- This only started happening about six months ago, well after the Apple
- recall on Quantum drives with a sticktion problem. No disk repair program
- I've used can come up with a problem, and SCSI probe didn't report anything
- unusual either. I'm assuming it's sticktion and we'll just have to live
- with it, but if anyone else has run into this problem and solved it, I'd
- like to know.
