  13. Well, after much ado with NEC about the 4FG and PB180 (both of which
  14. support the 16" resolution of 832x624), it seems there's no way to
  15. actually drive the monitor from the PB because of... the connector.

  17. Seems the sense pins pon the connector say "I'm a Macintosh Hi-Res
  18. Display!" and so it gets driven at the 13" resolution.

  20. "Any other connectors out there?"  I ask.  "Nope," he answers.  "Plan
  21. to make a new one soon?" I query.  "Nope," he says.

  25. Does anyone know where I can get a 16" connector for a NEC 4FG?

  27. (P.S.  The *last* time I called NEC about this, they said "Just change
  28. the resolution in the MOnitors control panel -- the PB180 doesn't use
  29. sense pin technology"  This time, they tell me "I don't know who could
  30. have told you that, but they were dead wrong.")
