- Well, after much ado with NEC about the 4FG and PB180 (both of which
- support the 16" resolution of 832x624), it seems there's no way to
- actually drive the monitor from the PB because of... the connector.
-
- Seems the sense pins pon the connector say "I'm a Macintosh Hi-Res
- Display!" and so it gets driven at the 13" resolution.
-
- "Any other connectors out there?" I ask. "Nope," he answers. "Plan
- to make a new one soon?" I query. "Nope," he says.
-
- Sheesh.
-
- Does anyone know where I can get a 16" connector for a NEC 4FG?
-
- (P.S. The *last* time I called NEC about this, they said "Just change
- the resolution in the MOnitors control panel -- the PB180 doesn't use
- sense pin technology" This time, they tell me "I don't know who could
- have told you that, but they were dead wrong.")
