- Can someone who is familiar with hard drives answer a questions for me.
- I have a external Rodine 210 drive that currently won't let me load
- anything new on it. It attempts to, then hangs & locks up in the middle
- of loading anything on or even extracting things. I copied off to
- floppys some of the applications to free up space thinking it was
- hitting a bad block, but still no good. I ran a hard disk test & also
- optimised using Norton. Still no good. The things that are left on the
- drive currently run with no problems. I am thinking of backing up the
- entire drive & reformatting it but what I'm afraid of is that when I go
- to load my stuff back on, it will do the same thing & hang & i'll be
- left with a dead drive. At least it works with the things that are
- left. Does anyone out there have any better suggestions or feel that
- when I re-format the drive, it will reset everything, load new drivers &
- hopefully be able to write to it. All the diagnostic programs that i
- ran, read & wrote to every block & did'nt give any errors.
-
- Any help will be appreciated

- Thanx,
