- Look harder at the solder joints on the analog board, like with a good
- magnifiying glass or handheld microscope, especially the joints for the
- in-line connectors, the flyback transformer, diodes, and the power caps.
- Look for cracks all the way around the central conductor. If in doubt,
- resolder it.

- The last time my 512KE did this (about 2 years after replacing C1), I found
- about a half-dozen cracked solder joints, and I couldn't see any of the
- cracks with the naked eye. It's been very stable since resoldering them.

- Then look at the connectors to the tube, both on the board and on the
- wire harness, if the pins are corroded, it's probably best to replace
- the connectors.
