- I guess I didn't make myself plain enough with what I've noticed. Many people
- took the time to explain what random numbers are and how they work. Thanks.
- But what I'm seeing is a little beyond that. For example, playing Tetris,
- I'll get 10 of the same piece in a row, the a little while later 12 of
- another piece in a row, and a little while later a lot of another piece.
- Tetris keeps statistics of pieces used and it doesn't look too random to
- me - 50 of one piece, 40 of another and 1 of everything else.
-
- Another example - Spaceward H0! - when I have it create a scenario with
- computer players, 8 times out of ten the enemies will be on planets right
- next to me no matter how big the galaxy is. If I make a humongous galaxy
- and one computer player, I would think that it would not consistently be at
- one of the eight planets surrounding me.
-
- I could give other examples (like everyone getting a large number of yahtzees
- in a single game, usually with the same number). If they had happened once
- or twice, I could understand, but it's pretty consistant. These things did
- not occur on my Plus.
-
- But then again, maybe this is how it is supposed to work.
