- Hi there,
- I just helped my roomate install some 1 Mb SIMMs into his SE to
- upgrade it to 4 Mbs. He bought it from a friend who may have gotten
- them from a IIfx, though he isn't sure. If these SIMMs did come from a
- IIfx, what kind of problems would you expect?
- The SE, after the installation, booted up fine with the finder;
- however, some applications now no longer work.. ie Word 4.0. I feel
- guilty since my roomate is currently working on his thesis and is
- being inconvenienced by this fiasco. Since his SE was one of the older
- version, we had to cut a resistor (R35). We hope to avoid resoldering
- it.
