- Well, you are right by saying you didn't cut R9 because it was already
- cut :-). I've checked the book about the Macintosh hardware (Inside Mac
- hardware or something like that), and it says that R8 means "256 KB SIMMS
- USED" and the other means "ONE BANK USED". If you want to upgrade your
- system to 4 MB's, you should remove both of them. If you open your Mac
- you'll find that R9 is cut (in my case i had to cut it because it was there).
- However, the original poster said both resistors aren't there and it still
- doesn't work. Sounds strange.
