- : selected envelope in Page Setup. It acts kind of like a larger paper
- : size was selected.
-
- This works for me:
-
- 1) Select envelope or select manual feed paper
- 2) press print
- 3) wait for the Mac to ask for the paper
- 4) take the printer off-line
- 5) stick the envelope in the back of the printer and let *IT* feed
- the envelope in part-way
- 6) put the printer back online
- 7) hit return
-
- never had any problems with this method. Did a 100 wedding invitations
- on odd sized envelopes this way and only screwed up 1. (used green
- ink too! very nice)
-
- : I have also found it frustrating trying to print smaller envelopes:
- : 6.125 X 4.5
-
- The rollers are placed in possitions that look to be optimal for
- 8 1/2" X 11" paper. Printing on small envelopes rarely works without
- manual intervention (i.e. opening up the front and straighening up the
- envelope)
-
- Also make sure you have the lever inside the printer set to envelope
- not single sheet (mine stays on envelope and again I've had no problems)
-

- : I was using Quarkxpress, because I like the interface, but the Page
- : Setup does not allow me to print a envelope of that size.

- Overkill! While Quark does lots of neat stuff, use an envelope DA.
- They are optimized for doing stuff like this and are easly found
- as shareware. I use FastEnvelope which stores addresses in a simple
- database, allows for multiple return addresses, and even prints
- bar codes!
