  19. I built a bunch using schems from a file called "CAPNET". They cost about 
  20. $2.50 for the Mini-DIN8, and $0.12 for the parts. :)

  22. These don't have surge suppression, phone jacks, or fancy boxes. Just 
  23. enough to hook up a few macs at home.

  25. I was using them in a school where we had no money. Ran a net through the 
  26. ceiling with speaker wire, about 200 feet. Worked fine. More reliable than 
  27. an ImageWriter's A-Talk card. <g>

  29. You could waste $10 and see if they work for you.

  31. One more advantage: They are about postage stamp size. I tried fitting the 
  32. entire circut in the jack; couldn't do it with full size parts, but with 
  33. SM stuff, it would be a breeze. It's only 6 parts.
