- This is sort of a response to your question (in a roundabout sorta way). Why
- not look into getting a Syquest drive? The price is very similiar ($399) for
- the 44 MB version. Cartriges do cost more (~$60) but you are getting a
- larger cartridge.

- And teh Syquest are much faster. They are on par with hard drive for seek &
- transfer rates whereas flopticals are on par with floppies. So why are
- people even considering flopticals?

- For you Andrew, if you need the drive more for backups than for reading
- dos disks, maybe you should consider the Syquest.
