  12. I've been weighting to buy a mac for quite awhile for various reasons(usually
  13. monetary in nature) and now that I am finally soon to be in a condition to 
  14. buy one I start to get scared off by this powerPC stuff.  I know I will not 
  15. be able to get a powerPC when they come out, if I buy a computer now, but I 
  16. may be able to buy an upgrade.  So what it comes down to is this:

  18. Will the Quadra 800 or the Centris machines be powerPC upgradeable and is it worth the worry performance-wise to skip the Quadra800 if it is not?
