  18. I think I've read on the net before that if you are hooking up two
  19. macs that are not plugged in on the same power circuit, you could get
  20. power surges through the cable. Network adapters are transformer
  21. isolated. I suspect that in most cases it wouldn't be a problem but at
  22. $17 per node mail order, the adapters are pretty cheap insurance.
