- I think I've read on the net before that if you are hooking up two
- macs that are not plugged in on the same power circuit, you could get
- power surges through the cable. Network adapters are transformer
- isolated. I suspect that in most cases it wouldn't be a problem but at
- $17 per node mail order, the adapters are pretty cheap insurance.
