  18.     Interesting.  The first allusion I saw to this was the 040
  19. "compatibility mode" rating in the Speedometer ratings article.  I notice the
  20. mode slows down the performance quite a bit.  What's the nature of this
  21. incompatibility?  Was a lot of software affected?  I plan to buy a Mac soon
  22. and I need to choose between an 030 and 040.
