- I have had a MACII with a 13in Apple HiRes Monitor and an 8 bit video
- card for about 5 years. A couple of weeks ago the monitor quit. When
- I took the powere supply out it was discoverd that some wires were cold
- soldered. These wires were resoldered and all worked fine for about
- 2 weeks. Earlier this week the monitor just shutoff. I restarted the
- system and the monitor came up fine and stayed on. This morning the
- monitor again shut off. I shut down and restarted the monitor came up
- again but then shut down almost immediately and wouldn't restart. I
- waited about a half an hour and tried it again and it came up ok and
- has remained on for the last 2 hours.
-
- Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong and how to fix it?
-
- If you have any ideas please send email and I'll summarize to the net.
