- Something not in your table that you might want to consider is length of
- warrantee. I think the quantums are 2 years. Not sure of the others.
- I tried to replace my stock 40 meg conner in a IIsi with the Maxtor 213,
- and, because the Maxtor is just a bit longer than the conner (front to
- back),
- it interfered with the logica cache card that I had installed. Just
- something
- to watch for. I ended up getting the els170 as an external drive, and am
- satisfied with it. I also use the quantum 240 at work, and that's a nice
- drive also. I've dealt with both APS and MacDirect. Macdirect's brackets
- never have the holes in the right place. On drives we bought from them, we
- could only get 2 of the 4 mounting screws to go in, because of the
- misalignment.
- In those cases, the drives were Fujitsu. I guess it's possible the holes
- on
- the drive were in the wrong place, and the brackets were ok.
