- I've done this, when I got my RT the same had happened. The way I did
- it was to use the 'maintenance/install' diskette, get a single-user
- shell, mount the root filesystem and edit the /etc/passwd file to
- remove the passwd entry for root.

- My RT was running AIX 2.1.2 also. I only had a 2.2.1 install/maint disk
- but this worked fine. Basically if you can get hold of the floppy you
- should have no real problems.
