- Lines: 33
-
- I am thinking of selling my RT collection. These machines were IBM's
- desktop UNIX offering from ~1983 through ~1988. During this time, IBM
- made three seperate processors for the machine. The original processor
- (RT) was quite slow indeed, but the next two processors (the APC and
- EAPC) are about equivalent to Sun3s. Anyway, here's the specs:
-
- FOR SALE: IBM-RT (Tower Model) with:
-
- - APC Microprocessor (the medium-grade)
- - FPU (Floating point Math Co-Processor)
- - 16 MB fast RAM (maximum useable).
-
- - ACIS Monitor (Monochrome, 16")
- - Monitor Card
- - 2 Dual-Sided 5.25" Drives
- - 3 70-MB hard drives
- - EESDI Drive Controller Card (Enhanced ESDI)
- - Token Ring Adaptor
- - Ethernet Card (I'm not 100% sure if this works)
-
- I have another one with just one hard drive and only one floppy which is
- also for sale.
-
- It's a fairly nice system. I'm not sure I'm allowed to sell the machine
- with the software still on it, so you might have to find OS distribution
- from some other source. I believe I have AOS 4.0 on there now.
-
- Naturally, it comes with a keyboard, mouse, and all the appropriate
- cables to hook the machine up.
-
- $900 or best reasonable offer.
