- So hard-boot software is built in to TOS on the Falcon?
- I assume it is Atari's own, in which case, doesn't it handle partitions
- past the 4th one differently than the ICD software (Atari's original software
- only supported 4 partitions, but 3rd parties brought out software that
- supported more. When Atari brought out their new software, instead of adding
- details of the extra partitions after the first 4, the bunged them at the
- beggining of the 4th partition, making them incompatable).
- Also, does Atari's software support full caching, removable media, etc. like
- the ICD software? If not, have ICD updated their software to support the
- SCSI-2 port?

- So the SCSI-2 port does parity checking and all host adaptors don't. Are
- there some hard-drives that use parity checking with no way of switching it
- off (In which case, can it be disabled on the SCSI-2 port)? Otherwise,
- does this mean you can now use ANY SCSI hard-drive?

- Can you be more specific (although people could ask what to do in a PC
- newsgroup I suppose).
-

-
- Do you know whether the SCSI-2 port supports clock speed doubling (I know
- it doesn't support 16-bit width).
- It was initially suggested that the old DMA port was available as part of
- the SCSI-2 port - do you know whether this is true? There don't seem to be
- enough wires, so perhaps it is software switchable (or emulatable).
