- Guess what: Protext has this same capability. A copy of this software
- (version 4.3, I think) is on the cover disk of the latest (?) ST Format
- magazine. I was just playing with this capability the other day by
- drawing boxes around a centered title. Nifty.
-
- On a different topic, one of the best editors for the PC is Multi-Edit.
- Multi-Edit has the line draw mode as well. It it fast and offers
- excellent mouse support with drop down menus (similar to an ST). There
- is a *fully* functional demo version of the program available (no
- spelling checker, no extended programming language support, etc. but
- allows almost all other functions including saving and printing files).
- Screen scrolling is via mouse movement. Being a demo, it is freeware.
- Your Dad should get this - he will be impressed.
-
- IMHO, the Multi-Edit interface is a lot more intuitive than Sudden View
- (with my admittedly very brief exposure to Sudden View), even though
- there is significant overlap in the underlying concepts.
