- This is kinda wierd, but - here I go.
-
- There is a program on IBM PC's called pfs: Professional Write.
- Nothing special, but for one attribute: It has a "drawing mode" where
- the ASCII Line Drawing Character Set is "painted" onto the screen with
- the cursor. You just choose the line style (Single or Double) and it
- places the appropriate characters on the screen. This is great for
- tables.
-
- What makes this unusual is that I am WELL AWARE that there are better
- ways to do tables and graphics that the 1979 (?) IBM line drawing
- standard. However, my father switches regularly between his PC at
- work and his Atari at home, and this method ACTUALLY WORKS FOR HIM!!!
-
- He doesn't want nor need anything else. So what do I want?
-
- Is there a program like this for the ST? He'd like to be able to
- "paint" at home as well. Just a simple ASCII text editor that has
- a similar mode.
-
- Flames are not supported, nor appreciated. He can't afford a laser
- printer, and I'm just being kind.
-
- The ever unselfless,
