  21. A fairly low percentage of files are corrupt at the atari.archive site. That is
  22. because we make an attempt to test each archive BEFORE it goes into its
  23. respective subdirectory.  As an example, I could not move three very
  24. interesting .LZH archive files into the Newitems directory because each and
  25. every one of them produced CRC errors ... one of these files was close to a
  26. megabyte in size.  I can just imagine the e-mail we would get it you downloaded
  27. an FTP'd file that size to your ST at 1200 baud, only to find out that the file
  28. was corrupted!

  30. Until there is a UNIX-based version of unZIP that can handle all .ZIP files
  31. (and an ST-based version which can do the same ... I haven't checked out the
  32. latest STZip 2.1 file at home, yet), .ZIP archives are big trouble waiting to
  33. happen, at least on the Atari side of things.
