- One of the big problems with the 1084 monitor is that the flyback transformer
- likes to seperate from the pc board (ie. bad solder joint). Another problem I
- have run into is that a bad solder joint at the RGB/SEPERATE switch will cause
- the same problem. A word of warning though. If you decide to open the monitor
- and do this surgery yourself be aware that the CRT acts like a very large
- capicitor and can hold a very high voltage for a long time even with the set
- unplugged.
