- : I've got a v.32bis modem (Supra) hooked to a 500. It works fine.

- : A few things to note: I have four hard drive partitions and two floppy
- : drives. Under 1.3 I got better results if I turned off my external
- : floppy. That's how close to the edge CPU usage is. I really doubt
- : you'll be able to consistently download to floppy at full speed, and
- : non-DMA hard drive controllers might slow you down as well.
- :
- What kind of speeds can I hope for doing a direct connect to my PC. I use
- zmodem on both ends and have a hd on the pc but only floppies on the amiga.
-
- The best I've been able to do is about 1350cps. I set up both ends for
- 19.2bps.

- And one more question: Why is it that I can't connect my v.32bis modem at
- 14.4bps to a HST dual 14.4. I can connect fine at 9.6 if I force my end to
- 9.6.
