- Yes, I've looked at the protocol. It doesn't look too bad.
-
- : Right. We might now actually have a GOOD protocol become POPULAR. Ordinary,
- : this would have been a Good Thing (tm) but since a certain name is mentioned
- : it's all of a sudden a disaster...
-
- I'm not going to get into it. Like I was saying to Russ, by the time
- you read this, we're on to something else. I've decided that the
- protocol would be good to see, my fear was with JoHo's knack of
- leaving behind standards and not following documentation. It does
- seem that there's a disclaimer which "waives" this worry.
-
- : I bid you welcome to design a better one. I shall happily support you in your
- : work and in the spreading of the protocol.
- : Until you have released such a protocol, however, I would personally

- : authors'.
-
- As a guess, I'd say you've got little to know idea who JoHo is, not
- that that's bad or anything. Just an observation. Anyways, this
- really isn't important any longer.
-
- Would I _LIKE_ to do one? _HELL YES_. I'd like to see, like I said,
- a bi-directional windowed SeaLink (do you happen to know what sealink
- is?). Negotiable packet size, the whole works. With a larger packet
- size, SeaLink could easily be more efficient than ZModem.
-
- Unfortunately, I'd like to get NewsManager out, along with other
- things I'm working on. There are only so many things a person can do.
- And when they're as behind in getting what they want done out as I am,
- they try to avoid pulling another project under their wing. I'd like
- to be working on my UUCP software too, but I don't have time for that
- either, and I can't finish that until I've got what I'm working on now
- done anyways.
