- I am coding a QWK reader called TRead, and having tested it with a local
- SBBS I have one question. In a packet downloaded from the BBS, all messages
- written with an offline-reader have 0 in the reference field. Now my program
- sets the reference field to the number of message this one is reply to
- (fantastic sentence... :) And when I upload the reply-packet I sometimes
- get the message 'Duplicate message'. This seems to happen if I reply to a
- message that someone else has already replied to.
- So what is the meaning of the reference field? Should I just leave it blank?
