- Hello,
-
- I'm looking for some help or advice about a QMS PS2000 printer.
- I have just spent a fruitless week trying to get it to do what I want it
- to do, and what the manual says it should do, but what it refuses to do.
- Which is to simply print ascii text. I prepend the following to an ascii
- text file:
-
- %!
- %%IncludeFeature: emulation ( pcl4 )
- %%IncludeFeature: lfiscrlf ( on )
- %%Title: /home/d1/sjm0/ascii
- %%EndComments
-
- and send it to the printer directly through QMS' qef program (i.e. not
- through the QMS supplied lpr filter which adds it's own doc headers).
- The text prints with <LF>s but without <CR>s at the end of each line.
- When I set the lfiscrlf mode from the printer's firmware menu, things
- print corectly. Any idea how to make this work using the doc commands?
-
- And a second question while I'm at it. I was also unable to get the
- n-up stuff to work. Here's the header I used:
-
- %!
- %%IncludeFeature: border ( on )
- %%IncludeFeature: pagescaling ( on )
- %%IncludeFeature: pagegrid ( 1 2 0 0 downright )
- %%Title: /home/d1/sjm0/foo2
- %%EndComments
- %!
- ...postscript source produced by QMS' prtpost program...
-
- but it comes out just as a regular full size page. Any enlightment will
- be gratefully received. TIA,
-
