Hello,

    I'm looking for some help or advice about a QMS PS2000 printer.
I have just spent a fruitless week trying to get it to do what I want it
to do, and what the manual says it should do, but what it refuses to do.
Which is to simply print ascii text.  I prepend the following to an ascii
text file:

    %!
    %%IncludeFeature: emulation ( pcl4 )
    %%IncludeFeature: lfiscrlf ( on )
    %%Title: /home/d1/sjm0/ascii
    %%EndComments

and send it to the printer directly through QMS' qef program (i.e. not
through the QMS supplied lpr filter which adds it's own doc headers).
The text prints with <LF>s but without <CR>s at the end of each line.
When I set the lfiscrlf mode from the printer's firmware menu, things
print corectly.  Any idea how to make this work using the doc commands?

And a second question while I'm at it.  I was also unable to get the
n-up stuff to work.  Here's the header I used:

    %!
    %%IncludeFeature: border ( on )
    %%IncludeFeature: pagescaling ( on )
    %%IncludeFeature: pagegrid ( 1 2 0 0 downright )
    %%Title: /home/d1/sjm0/foo2
    %%EndComments
    %!
    ...postscript source produced by QMS' prtpost program...

but it comes out just as a regular full size page.  Any enlightment will
be gratefully received.  TIA,
