  36. Actually, I have two personal rules.  Never pay more than $50 for anything.
  37. And never buy anything that is only worth $50.  I break them on occaision,
  38. but I haven't bought any $3500 bookends or machines that haven't got the umph
  39. for the job they were obtained for (although I always outgrow them).
