- I am having a problem with a HP LaserJet 4 M printer connected to
- a DECserver 200 terminal server. The system is a VAXstation 3100
- running VMS v5.3. Using the set up described below, I can print
- just fine from WordPerfect (using WP Corp's LaserJet 4 driver) and can
- print simple text files from DCL. The problem is with PostScript.
- (This printer is supposed to auto switch). When I attempt to print
- from WordPerfect (using WP Corp's LaserJet 4 Postscript driver) all
- I get is a couple of lines garbage on the printer. I get the same
- results if I direct WordPerfect's output to a file and spool that
- from DCL. The printer displays the error message "22 ERROR" which
- the manual says is a buffer overrun.
-
- If I stop and delete the printer queue and allocate the port from DCL,
- I can COPY the postscript file mentioned above to the port and get
- good output.
-
- Where else should I look? What have I overlooked? Configurations
- are below.
-
- Thanks, Dale
