- Sometimes I post questions to comp.os.vms and sometimes to one of the
- vmsnet groups, but without second thoughts (where, not what! :-) )
-
- comp.os.vms is also a bitnet listserver mailing-list and the traffic is
- terrible high, but one reaches thousends of people and most of the
- VMS-Gurus.
-
- vmsnet.* is more specific, because every topic has its own newsgroup, the
- traffic is enjoyable low and the information/noise ratio is very good,
- lightyears better than in comp.os.vms.
-
- Crossposting is the best way for the questioner, but the worst regarding
- band width. (This posting should be an exception)
-
- So far my opinions.
-
- What do you say? Where should one post which questions?
- Perhaps one should gateway all vmsnet.* groups to bitnet and encourage all
- people to use the vmsnet discussion lists instead the?
- Or is this a blasphemous question ("there was INFOVAX before you could
- write the word computer! You want to change it, mortal?" :-) ) ?
