  15. Sometimes I post questions to comp.os.vms and sometimes to one of the
  16. vmsnet groups, but without second thoughts (where, not what! :-) )

  18. comp.os.vms is also a bitnet listserver mailing-list and the traffic is
  19. terrible high, but one reaches thousends of people and most of the
  20. VMS-Gurus.

  22. vmsnet.* is more specific, because every topic has its own newsgroup, the
  23. traffic is enjoyable low and the information/noise ratio is very good,
  24. lightyears better than in comp.os.vms.

  26. Crossposting is the best way for the questioner, but the worst regarding
  27. band width. (This posting should be an exception)

  31. What do you say? Where should one post which questions?
  32. Perhaps one should gateway all vmsnet.* groups to bitnet and encourage all
  33. people to use the vmsnet discussion lists instead the?
  34. Or is this a blasphemous question ("there was INFOVAX before you could
  35. write the word computer! You want to change it, mortal?" :-) ) ?
